CBD flower, also known as hemp flower, looks and can taste just like cannabis, except it does NOT produce a high. Instead, it may have a variety of other benefits, including calming anxiety, assuaging sleep difficulties, and promoting a general sense of balance. Does smoking CBD flower differ from taking CBD oil? The short answer is yes, but there are a variety of reasons why. For starters, CBD flower requires inhaling, rather than using it has a tincture. This makes taking cannabidiol more of a ritual. Beyond that, CBD flower contains all elements of the plant, including other terpenes and cannabinoids besides cannabidiol. This does not mean that it contains more than 0.3% THC (by law). When ingested together, as they are found in nature, these compounds may produce a stronger effect known as the Entourage effect: This is why full spectrum hemp oil is may be more potent than CBD isolate, which only contains the compound. In other words, you get the experience of the whole plant with hemp flower, which may improve cannabidiol's efficacy. CBD oil can also come in full spectrum form, but keep in mind that much of it isn't 3rd party lab tested. This means that even if it says that it's full spectrum, it may actually be isolate, which is cheaper to produce. CBD flower may also be more potent than edibles or topicals. This is because it's inhaled rather than processed by the digestive tract or absorbed through the skin. Interested in learning more?
